3M Cavilon No Sting Barrier Film Usage Information
Considerations
If being used to protect periwound tissue, the 3M Cavillon Barrier Spray should be applied every time the dressing is changed or at minimum every 24 hours
Peristomal tissue should have an application every time the pouch is changed
Use for incontinence depends on how often the user is exposed to excretion and cleansing, but usually should applied every 24-72 hours
Not recommended to be used with other ointments, creams or lotions
Application Directions
Ensure skin is cleaned and has been dried
Using wipe, wand or spray, evenly distribute the 3M Cavilon No Sting Barrier Film
Keep skin uncovered until dry
Wait 30 seconds for solution to dry
Go over any missed areas
Removal
While the removal of the barrier is not necessary, buildup of the product can flake off. This will not harm the skin or the user. If removal is desired, use a gentle adhesive removal such as the Safe N Simple Remover Wipes or the Brava Adhesive Removal Spray.
